The Real Estate Market Data Base (REMDB) of the SLS features data about sales registered in the State Unified Computerized Land Register (identificator of the sales object, data of sale, price), as well as cadastral information from the National Real Estate Cadastre  that characterizes this object (area, use, purpose of use etc.). Sales data for all of the territory of Latvia is stored in REMDB.

Data available from REMDB:

1. Standard – detailed information containing data with respect to every sales object.

·         Land sales please see example (in Latvian)  

·         Sales of buildings, sales of land with buildings please see example  (in Latvian)  

·         Sales of groups of premises please see example (in Latvian)  

Sales information is available for all the territory of Latvia since 1999.
Data is grouped in standard sets (one standard set consists of data for sales with one kind of object (land or buildings, land with buildings, or groups of premises) in the course of one calendar year in a specific territory (all area of Latvia is divided in 15 territories – please see division    ). For example – one standard set contains all land sales in Riga city in 2009.

Data standard sets are available in the format of electronic documents (.*xls or .*csv data formats) and are delivered recorded on a CD.

2.1. Statistics:
2.1.1. Available free of charge on the website: www.vzd.gov.lv (in Latvian only) in chapter „Publikācijas un statistika- Citas Publikācijas- „Latvijas Nekustamā īpašuma tirgus – statistiskie rādītāji” for 2006, 2007 and  first half of 2008:

·         Number of sales (buildings, apartments, groups of premises, land, land with buildings)

·         Sales with developed and undeveloped land (land sales, sales of land with buildings) 

·         residential land prices 

·         industrial land prices 

·         commercial land prices 

·         agricultural land prices 

·         forest land prices 

·         prices of residential buildings 

·         apartment prices

Note! This type of data for the time period as of second half of 2008 is a service for fee and it is available only upon  request, and after payment for such has been received.

2.2. Specific data (detailed) selection from REMDB according to selection criteria defined by the client (for example: land sales with a sold area of no less than 100 hectares for the time period 2000-2010, or preparation of summaries, as well as statistics).

As per request of the client, data are available in electronic format (*xls or .*csv data files), delivered recorded on a CD, or in format of a paper document .

1. There are following options available to receive standard data sets from REMDB:

·         Single request – client submits the request, pays for the service, and receives the requested data;

·         Subscription – based on the agreement for regular data delivery entered into by the client and the SLS. The minimum time period for data subscription agreement is one year. Data are available in electronic format by sending the request to the e-mail address specified in the data subscription agreement.

 Standard data sets from REMDB are available for everybody. Clients can apply for these data by completing an application and sending it electronically to: jautajumi@vzd.gov.lv . Please see the Application form    .

After such application has been received, the SLS will draft:

1.    A pre-payment invoice for single requests;

2.   A draft agreement for subscription of REMDB data (within two weeks as from the moment of request). Upon request of the client, the draft agreement may be mailed to the client for signing. The client can sign and receive his copy of the agreement also in Customer Service of the SLS (Klientu apkalpošana):  11.novembra krastmala 31, room # 111, Riga.

2. Options for receiving non-standard data from REMDB:

·         Available free of charge on the web site: www.vzd.gov.lv (in Latvian only) in chapter „Publikācijas un statistika- Citas Publikācijas- „Latvijas Nekustamā īpašuma tirgus – statistiskie rādītāji” for 2006, 2007 and  first half of 2008:

·        Preparation of other non-standard data is subject to charge. To receive such, a client should submit or send a free-form application to the State Land Service, 11.novembra krastmala 31, Riga, LV-1050, Latvia.

Note! In the application, the client must indicate detailed information with respect to the required  data (parameters for selection), its format, contact person and payment details. Please note that you have to make the payment before the data are received. In case of subscription to the data, the data subscription agreement  must be signed between to the client and the SLS setting forth the order of the receiving data, regularity of the requests as well as terms of payment.

All charges for services of the SLS have been set forth in accordance to the  Regulation of Cabinet of Ministers No. 147 “Regulation Regarding a Price List of the Paid Services Provided by the State Land Service” (Price List).
