The 9th Session of the Working Party on Land Administration in Geneva
During the Sustainable Land Management Week, which was held on 24th-27th of February 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland, Director General Mrs. Elita Baklane-Ansberga of the State Land Service of the Republic of Latvia participated in the Ninth Session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Working Party on Land Administration.

It was a great pleasure for Mrs.  Elita Baklane-Ansberga to represent the Permanent Committee on Cadastre in the European Union as well as present Latvian achievements regarding land administration and management issue “From Static to Dynamic Land Information Systems”.

At the Ninth Session of the Working Party on Land Administration (WPLA) participants shared a high-level experience on issues related to land administration and management. Representatives of the UNECE Member States reviewed the work of the WPLA in 2014 and 2015 and discussed how the UNECE can continue work to improve land management and land administration practices throughout its region. Also, the event incorporated the needs and priorities of land administration in the UNECE region in support of the post-2015 development agenda and the proposed sustainable development goals.
